My new (used) walk through two horse B.P. trailer doesn't have a head divider. I can purchase one from a dealer for $360, but am looking for less expensive alternatives first. Anyone build their own head divider or use something else for a walk through trailer?

I would find a local welding shop and tell them what you want..... probably would need to take the trailer to them so they could see what to do. Shouldn't be too hard or expensive.

I have a head divider in my walk through, but I don't like to use it.  I saw that the brand trailer I have has an open style bar divider that I would like better. I usually only haul my horses (which get along) or a single so I don't put it in.

Your situation might deem you don't need one!!!

I'm concerned because my gelding (who is a bit of a bully) scares the mare that I ride and haul for a friend to death. Even thought I can tie him so he can't do anything to her, I think she might be more comfortable with a divider between them so her sight of him is limited.

I used a local weld shop to build me a hay rack and it was soooo much cheaper and worked just as good. What I did was found what I wanted (camping at local camp ground) and took a picture of it and thats what they used to build me one. If you have a dealer close by go browsing and take a few pics. Cell phones are wonderful for that now days.

The place that does maintenance on my trailer is also a welding shop too. I'll talk to them next time I'm in there. Thanks for all the great ideas!
