We go down the Natchez Trace parkway all the time and you can't take a commercial vehicle. So if you are pulling trailer for recreational purposes you can go. Therefore if the horse trailer doesn't have signs on it saying So and So Stables and is for recreation you can pull it. If it has some training stables on it you can't. And it can be the exact same trailer. I have also pulled down the Blueridge Parkway for a couple hundred miles with LQ trailer.

I was told one couldn't go down the Garden State Pkwy towing anything, but at the toll booths, they say otherwise! They say sure you can, but the restriction is with the height as they have low underpasses on one end. That's why no trailer trucks.

You can travel on the GSP with your trailer, just know your trailer height and be aware of clearances. You don't say how far south you're going, but you'll have to avoid the tunnels in Baltimore if you'll be going down there.

The Toll booths on the GSParkway are really low and I mean low unless they have changed them if you are going down 95 use the Jersey Turnpike that is really 95.
