Last year I rode a 17 year old TWH on the north south trail. I have also ridden a 16 yr old TWH and a 25 yr old mule on the rides. It is not the age but the conditioning of the horse. If you ride regularly and prepare for the ride he should be fine. You do not HAVE to ride every day but you do have to ride every day if you want a trophy. Go to the website and post your question on their forum, you would be suprised the replies you will get.
