This one's for the folks who put MILES on their clippers!

We've gone through wahls rechargables.  Would like to get my wife a reeeeally nice set of clippers for Christmas.  We don't to a ton of trimming for our shows - bridle path, clean up the face, ear fuzz flat (don't have to clipper them out), etc. But I'd really like to get her a quality set.  I'm the kind of guy that likes to buy once, buy right.  Get fed up with disposable tools, etc.

What are some of your recommendations if money's less of a factor.  I know we need to probably go corded to get the longevity and quality that we're looking for.

My husband's veterinary staff put alot of miles on their clippers and  uses the Oster A5's for surgical prep on small animals, clipping off mats on dogs and cats, etc. They also uses the Wahl pocket pros, those little compact trimmers for hard to get at spots, or little touch ups. They have also started using the Oster Protege Clipper. Comfortable grip and very efficient plus you can use the A-5 blades with it. I personally use the Wahl Stable Pros(love these) on my horses and I have the Moser Arco cordless clippers. These are really nice to use too. Quiet, hold a charge for lonnnggg time and cut very well. They aren't heavy or bulky either. I love the pocket pros too for little touch ups, whiskers, etc.   I just recently acquired a pair of the A5's and those are heavy duty, liking those.

Ditto on the Oster A5, probalby the best all-around clipper (with a cord) you can buy for home use.

I also use a Moser Arco SE rechargeable which I just love.  With two rechargeable batteries I can clip non-stop all day. (as long as my arm holds up anyway)
