I have tried not to get on here, but I have been waiting for a reply for weeks now regarding my "unfixable" 02 head-to-head.  I know some of the folks who work there get on here.....I really hope we can come to an amicable resolution to this problem, but this is really frustrating. My trailer is a large part of my livlihoood, and I cant use it!

horseyford, I'll be glad to help you in any way possible with this problem.  A few questions first please.  Are you waiting on the manufacturer or a dealer to call you back?  Who have you spoken with?  Did you purchase the trailer new?  If so, from what dealership?  Thanks, DON SMITH, OWNER, DHMCO

Hi Don, I am waiting on Exiss directly...my dealer has been useless...Nelson's Trailers in Ocala FL. I highly DO NOT recommend them for service after the sale. Do you mind emailing me directly at Mroades@aol.com, I dont want to get into all the gory details on here,

Thanks!

I have never gotten a reply to my email directly to Exiss in the past. They have helped me over the phone, however.
I am fortunate that I have an Exiss dealer about 40 miles away with an excellent service dept. that takes care of every little thing for me, as I am not handy.

I want to thank Don from Dixie Horse and Mule, he has taken over in assisting me in this matter, as the dealer who sold the trailer to me new has been ZERO help.

I will send a copy of our correspondence to the Exiss rep that has posted on here today as well.

I sent Mr Moreau an email so we will see what happens.

For the record my problems are more with the dealer Big Tex midland then Exiss I love my trailer and just want parts that were missing during the purchase. Horse tie offs and a minor problem with the butt bar.

Other than that I have no complaints with Exiss othen than email responce.

Ever wonder why these trailer mfg. post an email address but no one ever answers you back when you email them ? Why even have one if you don't read and answer them.

As for seemingly ignoring emails, it is a lot easier to push back an email than it is to push back a customer on the phone.

However, that doesn't mean that should be the norm.  I agree, if companies have email, they should have a policy of answering them.

But I have found that voice mail and email has drastically reduced customer service.  I hate those "please press one for X, Two for Y, then after about 20 mins, the line drops and I have to start all over again.

I miss the customer service of old.

I emailed Mr. Don Moreau regarding my drop down windows and he asked me if i could send him pictures of my problems. I emailed him the pictures and within 3 days I got a call telling me my new windows were on the way!! Sounds like a man of his word to me!!

You know, sometimes things are just small but if you are not mechanicaly inclined it is hard to figure out.

I had a problem with my windows on the horse head side not wanting to latch.

When I got home I looked and thought the cable was broke.turned out it just needed a little lube on the latch that was stuck open.

A little spray and presto it worked like a charm.

I was missing some things on My Trails West and when I stoped back at the dealer they gave Me the parts and I installed them.

It also helped that I had recieved one too many batteries and wrong owners manual. So I made a trade.Ha Ha.

So far no major problems.

Perhaps the variouse trailer Mfg. could post a FAQ on their site to help with the small stuff.

Sounds like a lot of problems with Exiss.  Shouldn't the product quality checks be done on each trailer before it leaves the factory??

I don't think it is that Exiss has anymore problems than any other trailer manufacture. I think you hear about them more because there is so many more Exiss trailers out there than any other brand. And as long as they are willing to stand behind their product, and fix any problems that is all that matters to me!! I Love my trailer and would not hesitate to buy another Exiss!!

I have had 3 new 4 Star trailers.  Never had ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER.  I think Exiss needs some Quality Control at their plant.  A buyer should not have to do their quality control work and then take the time to get the things fixed.

I think 4 Stars are very nice trailers also, but a friend of mine was looking for a trailer at the same time I was except her financing had already gone through and mine hadn't so I told her about a 4Star trailer I found on this website and she bought it. she paid exactly what I did for my exiss with only half the luxuries of mine and had a number of problems with hers that I haven't.(at her own expense) My windows have not possed a problem this far,(just cosmetic at this point) however Exiss was willing to nip it in the bud for me. I still think my friend made a good decision on buying her trailer. It is a real nice trailer but it needed some repairs as any trailer could.

I agree, any brand of trailer can have problems, I have friends who have had problems with Sundowners, Sooners, Logans and yes, 4stars.  A very good friend of mine had no problems with his first 4star trailer, but his second brand new 4star has had some problems.  The back door cam latch doesn't close properly, hasn't since it was new.  The roof over the tack room leaks really bad, if it rains and he doesn't jack the trailer way up, the tack room fills with water.  After one hard rain, the water was 3 inches deep in his tack room.  And lastly, the very thin mat (it wasn't really a mat, just a very thin piece of rubber) on the front stall wall came off.

I too love my Exiss trailer and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
