We lost a mare on October 1, 2006 at Chickasaw State Park. She is a 6 year old, 15 hand sorrell with a light mane and star. When last seen, she was headed towards Owens Cemetery wide open. We saddled up and looked yesterday, and then a friend came today and we saddled up and looked some more. If anyone is in the area, please keep a look out for her. Our phone number is 731-780-6322. A reward is offered. Thanks ya'll. Jan

Hey Jan,
So sorry to hear about this. I have some friends that are considering riding down there this weekend. They are real familiar with the area. Just keep us posted and if she is still out I will call them and alert them.

rose,
Myself and a cousin will be trail riding tomorrow. I talked to him earlier this evening and at that time we hadn't decided on where to ride. When I talk to him in the morning I'll suggest that we ride at Chickasaw . Then we'll get our ride in and to help look for the lost horse. Haven't been to Chickasaw in a long time, it might be a nice change!

Rose, glad you found your horse. We used to ride Chickasaw all the time then they put that darned Golf course in their and ruined most of the riding but they sure have a nice campground. I usually camp there when I go to the National Birddog Field Trails. Sure is funny seeing 500 people following 2 dogs on horses. Whoa that doesn't read right. 500 people on horses following 2 dogs.
