Since there seems to be a few here with knowledge of the Kipor generators, I have a question.
Has anyone here seen a Kipor generator that is rated to 2.6kVA and weighs 57lbs, it is called the KGE3000Ti on the Kipor webpage.
I'm not talking about the KGE3500Ti, which is rated to 3.0kVA and weighs roughly 130lbs and has wheels.
The unit rated to 2.6kVA is shown on Kipor's webpage, but I do not see it listed for sale anywhere.
What makes this all very confusing is supposedly Kipor is changing the name of the KGE3500Ti (3000watt unit) to KGE3000Ti since it has an output of 3,000watts. I wonder if the 2600 watt unit will be called KGE2600Ti?
I have read about enough to go ahead with Kipor, but for my needs the 2600watt unit would be much better fit than the smaller 2000watt unit or the larger 3000watt unit.
Unfortunately there are no USA Kipor dealer locally.

Only one I see is on ebay, where half of us bought ours. Mine is running right now in Edinburgh Indiana at the NBHA State show for my daughter. Here is the item number: 180005003083, and maybe this link will work

As far as I know the 3500 and the 3000 are the same unit with the exception of 3 things. the 3000 has a smaller fuel tank, less weight and does not have the 30 amp recepticle. They both have the same rated power. I may be wrong but this is what I have read. With the model name changes it can be confusing. I do not know the new model number of the old 3000, but the new model name of the 3500 is 3000. Confused yet?!?!?!?

Macwall,
I have looked at their website quite a bit. The KGE3000Ti and the KGE3500Ti listed on their site are very different units, much more than you describe.
They have different power outputs, different size engines, different size frames, and the 3500 is over twice the weight of the 3000. I have read on some of the ebay sellers pages, that the KGE3500Ti was recently renamed to the KGE3000Ti, but I have not actually seen a unit that is rated to the same level as the KGE3500Ti marked with the KGE3000Ti markings, only read it is GOING to happen. The unit rated at 2600Watts seems to be a more rare beast, whatever they are going to call it.
Here are the specs, straight from their website if you didn't look

Northside Trailer Sales in Carmel, IN carries them, that is where we purchased ours. If there ever is a service isssue, they provide a replacement to use until you get yours back. That is why we purchased it there instead of E Bay. There is also a place in Columbus, OH that carries them now. We saw a display at the Equine Affair and asked to hear one run, then went and purchased it locally.

I was just doing some research with a local dealer and found out they just dropped the portable Kipor line because of "reliability" issues. Thinking about calling them for the low down. Sorry, haven't seen any info for the 2600.
