I made a mistake and cleaned my Circle Y Montana Silver. I used a silver cleaner. Now it is awful looking. Is there a way i can restore it back to how it looked?

If it was real silver or a good silver plate, you should have been fine with silver polish. I clean silver all of the time. How old is the tack? Maybe you should contact Montana Silver. This should not have happened unless it was inferior or the silver plate had worn off.

What defines "awful looking"? I have Circle Y show equipment and have used silver polish(Wrights brand, I think) and have had no ill effects on the silver. I agree, maybe contact Circle Y and ask them for some suggestions.

The bridles are less than 3 years old. I tried to contact circle Y and they would not return my message. I am hoping their is a cure to this. Most silver today is Montana unless it is handmade....I think. Montant silver must not be silver.

When you purchase Montana Silver it has a warning NOT to use silver polish. They suggest cleaning with a damp cloth. I've known people to use toothpaste (paste, the old icky kind not gel or anything fancy). Not sure if that would correct it but if it's already horrible... Good Luck, sounds like a nice saddle!

I know Montana Silver can replate their silver if it is damaged. But since it was damaged by using silver polish they will charge you. Maybe Circle Y will do the same thing. If you bought the saddle from a dealer they should be able to get you the info on how to go about sending t in for repair. They may be able to "pop" off the silver and send it for you...
