Considering buying a 2012 Sundowner 2+1. Steel frame, aluminum skin.
I’ve heard that, in the past, Sundowner had quality control issues so I’ve avoided the brand.
Has Sundowner improved their quality/ quality control?
What are the manufacturing standards used for:
1. Thickness of aluminum skin?
2. Welding of aluminum to steel?
3. Are floors aluminum or wood?
4. Distance of floor support beams?
5. Are horses happy/ content?
6. What type of suspension is used?
Additional info is appreciated.
Thanks for the help in advance!

I would look at better quality..either go steel, or go aluminum if your budget allows. Look at older 4-Stars maybe..the only Sundowner I would have is the old two horse bumper pull.

Thanks Calmiityj. The ad was wrong... I just found out that the trailer is all aluminum. I saw the trailer today and it looks nice, with a few cosmetic issues. Can you expand on why the quality is bad?

Well, for a middle of the line up, I think the Sundowner 2+1 is a pretty decent trailer. I see several in use, and folks like them. They seem reasonably priced, at least the new ones. Can't speak for the used you saw. Just my opinion.
