Hello I was wondering if anyone had any helpful info about these trailers. I am looking at 2006 sundowner c525. It is advertised as all aluminum. I just want to confirm that sundowner did in fact make an all aluminum model as I want to avoid the steel frame issues. Thanks!

The C525 is one of the original Sunlite series of trailers, built with a uni-body style. Works very well. Will only have steel in the axle box and the neck.
The slant load version was the 720 or 725, a well known quality trailer.

When you get the VIN you can call Sundowner and ask them. Also looking inside the trailer for the painted grey steel inside the dressing room is a dead giveaway for the Valuelite trailers that were the issue. Always check with Sundowner for absolute answers.

Well, maybe I need to clarify. The C-525 is the closest thing to a bullet proof all-aluminum trailer Sundowner has ever built. As with all trailers, it will have steel around the axles & neck that you need to keep painted, but that is the extent of it.
