How good are these washes?? anybody had them? Our LQ looks good still, but I am thinking it would be a lot sharper with one of these wash jobs... I wax the white part regularly.. and clean the awnings and semi-chrome the aluminum wheels...what do ya'll think?

IMO once you acid wash you will have to do it more and more regularly. its basically strips the top layer off and then leave the surface open/exposed letting it oxidize quicker. other people may have had a different experience but this is solely based on personal experience. also it will leave a duller finish not shiny like new.

every time we have ours acid washed I then go to a regular car wash and rinse if off and then spray it with the liquid wax they offer and it seems to work great for a year or so.

just do not wash too often, every time you do it takes a thin layer of metal off, the wax is to re seal the aluminum. I do not think citrus removes metal only the acid wash.

I have done it on our mill finishes.i only use Streakmaster though and follow up with his Wash and Protect or whatever he is calling it now.
Gard knows a lot about this ( acid washes) if you want to PM him.

If it doesn't look too dull you can try this: a gallon of the higher acidity white vinegar to a gallon of water.wash the aluminum and leave it on for a few minutes.ive done this ams believe it ir not it will work pretty well.it won't blind Ya like an acid wash but- good for touch ups

I want to do something to our trailer but I am afraid to because it already burns a brown spot in our yard, and its all you can do to stand in front of the trailer mowing the yard haha.

If you want to see how a citrus wash will improve your trailer, find your closest Blue Beacon truck wash. They do an excellent job. Take ours there once or twice a year and it looks like new every time. No ill affect on painted areas or on the awning. Really returns the shine to the aluminum.
