I have a used 2007 Circle J Mirage LQ with a factory installed hay rack. How much weight can I safely carry on the rack?

I would think it will hold the weight for how ever many bales of hay that will fit into it, I see many going down the road with them stacked 2 deep and they seem to not have any problems, if in real doubt I would call the mfg. if they are still in business.

Thanks for your reply. I did try the manufacturer, but they no longer had any info on LQs.

I would check to see how the hay rack is attached to the trailer. is it being supported by the trailer structure or just "floating" on the roof. I would think that it would be safe coming from the manufacture but if you are concerned I'd get a second opinion. Maybe take it to a local trailer shop and ask if they think it is structurally sound.

Generally speaking, if you can walk on any part of it without any noticeable flexation, it will be strong enough to fill with hay. As was stated, the hay rack should be supported by the trailer's sidewall structures and not the roof.
