2008 Chevy 3500 (factory brake controller),1996 Calico stock trailer, 2014 Lakota LQ trailer. When I got stock trailer last year I rewired brakes from axles half way to front and they worked fine last year. This year they don't work again one night I wiggled plug and wires and they were working, next morning nothing again. But if I plug into LQ the brakes work on that.

So today I put new plug on truck, new plug on stock trailer, rewired rest of stock trailer brake wire. Still the no brakes working (controller doesn't find them)But if I hook up LQ those work fine.

If I take jumper wires from a battery to the trailer plug end at neg. pin and trailer brake pin the brakes lock up, so it appears wiring and ground OK.And if I take a test light from positive pin to negative pin on on truck it lights up so appears ground on truck OK and everything works fine when hooked to LQ. Also on stock trailer all the lights work the way they should just brakes don't

Driving me nuts what am I missing????
