Help - I replaced my refer in my LQ 2 years ago with brand new (small) norcold refridgerator. Geared up to go camp and refer works fine on gas and not at all on electric. Have checked fuses, etc and cannot figure out why. One question, the "pigtail" adapting plug for the electrical plugin (to the leadcord) is missing the ground prong. It does not seem to affect anything else on electric, but wondered if this could be the reason for the refer not working? And if not, any ideas what I could check? I have taking it to the trailer guys especially when it's now camping season in the northeast - FINALLY - and don't want to part with the trailer for long, if I can fix it myself. Looked through the manual and no hints there. Thanks, folks

If you'll remove the outside vent panels, you'll see that the fridge has a regular plug in, and it goes to an electric receptacle that was mounted just for the fridge. Take a HD extension cord and plug the fridge in directly, and this way you can eliminate any potential issues with the trailer's electrical system being the cause.
The other item to consider, is that you'll have a 2 year warranty on the new fridge. Just FYI.

OK - so I tried the plug-in inside the outside panel and still no luck. I also bought a replacement connector (complete with ground) and still no work. I checked my fuse box on the inside and all worked, but just spoke with my trailer LQ guy and he says there may be a fuse (or two) in the outside panel so will check that later. If no luck there, then will be taking it to the LQ guy to see if it can be repaired. Oh - and reading my warrenty - it says 1 year - not two. Of course it would. Ugg. This is a small refer with freezer compartment (3.0, I believe)- not one of the bigger ones. I appreciate all the tips. SUre hope it is a small (read inexpensive) fix, but somehow, I doubt it.

I just replaced the same fridge in my LQ. When I went on the Norcold site they had a recall it certain ones. You may want to check it out. Of course mine wasn't one of them. Just a thought.

Okie Dokie - Figured I would post my solution on here in case anyone else ran into this problem. My son came over with his meter and began checking things. Long story made very short....My unit has two breaker switches - which, BTW I checked myself a couple times to make sure they were on. Unfortunately I did not turn them OFF and then turn them on again. Apparently due to storm or whatever the breakers clicked off. HOWEVER, they appeared to be in the ON position and when I checked them I never clicked them down to put them off and THEN click them all the way up to the ON position - just made sure they were in the up (on) position. Wrong! Problem solved!!! I felt really stupid, but in all honesty, my son, took a good 1/2 hour finding this out and he's an electrician.
