Hi guys hopeing for some help here. I have been doing some work on my sundowner it is an old guy and needs some maintence work. I wanted to replace some of the bulbs that are not working on the running lights. I pulled the light cover off and noticed that the white bulb housing is the problem. It is rubber and I suppose over the years has loosened to where it will not hold the bulbs secure enough for it to stay on. I would like to replace the lights but the housing is held in by rivits. Not sure how to work with the rivits. Has anyone had any experience with these types of lights. Thanks so much

Simple...drill out the pop rivets, acquire a new base and install new base with pop rivets ( available everywhere)LED replacements are around $10.00 from many different mfg. co.....Peterson, Truklite, etc. Check Amazon, Ebay or your local RV store. Connect wires with crimp connector or even better, solder and use heat shrink tubing. All in all, a pretty easy job. Keep in mind that one wire is usually grounded to the frame thru one of the pop rivets so make sure the connections are clean....no rust or paint.

Really simple.....discard old rivet parts, insert new rivet ...put tool on and squeeze until you hear a "pop" and you are done. Instructions will be with tool when you buy it. Home Depot, Lowes, amazon, etc. probably under $20.00 with some rivets. You can also buy extra rivets if you don't have enough. Get the same size as the hole and maybe 1/2 inch long....depends on thickness of light base.. If you get stuck, holler back,,,,again really simple

Make sure the new rivet is tight on the base if not you will have a poor ground! Some cheap pop rivet tools will cut the rivet before it is tight if you are and used to using them.
