Hello everyone. Has anyone heard when the USFS plans to open Moccasin Gap Horse Camp in Arkansas back up? I drove up there today, parked out on the highway and walked back in to the camp. It looks like all campsites are now going to have electricity and water. Only issue I noticed was the campsites don't look very deep, long; could be an issue for those with longer trailers. Also no pens/corrals/stalls. Anyone else have any information on this camp? Has anyone rode these trials? What are they like?

Used to ride there... too many fourwheelers buzzing around, but OK trails.. We prefer Falling Waters Horsecamp at Pelsor, Ark. real close to Pedestal Rock....

A large grant was received for renovation of the Moccasin Gap camp area. Some local equestrian friends of mine are working on the improvements. A NATRC ride will be held in that area the first weekend of June, but staged out of Mack's Pines, which has also made some renovations to the electrical camping side of their park. I will email my friends and see if I can get more information on the camp.

How many miles of trails are there at moccasin gap? We looked into going there and didn't think there were enough miles of trails except for a few days of riding. We also really like Falling Water!!!!
