Looking for opinions and experience's of ownership. Both trailers are all aluminum both are full LQ and what I can tell from the pictures  both are nice, used but nice. Rubber in horse area of both intact (not shoe worn) both are 8' wide, sundowner is 7' tall, Adams I am being told is 8'tall (not sure about that). both are collapsible rear tack , Adams is removable center post and step up, Sundowner has rear ramp and no center post. Both are barn door rear, both have door from LQ to horse area both have first stall stud partition's. both with drops and bars on the head side and slide windows on the butt wall. both are three horse, sundowner with 8' LQ and Adams with 10' LQ. Both are priced about the same. The down side is I have not personally seen either trailer as they are both a ways away from me.  Thanks Tim

Are you sure that both trailers are all aluminum? I know folks that have bought trailers that they were told by the seller were all aluminum only to find out later that they were steel frame/aluminum skin trailers.. I would look close at the newer, 10' LQ, ADAM 8' tall trailer.

I have a 2000 Sundowner Sunlite that is all aluminum except for the hitch/axle box. It's been a great trailer--I bought it new. When I cleaned it up to sell, it cleaned up AWESOME. The one potential buyer that came to look at it was very impressed with the condition and only passed on it because he wanted bigger. (mine is a 6' short wall) I know nothing about Adams and have never seen one, so I don't know how they would compare.

Retento, I am sure about the sundowner with all I have read here about the Sundowners it has all the tell tale signs that it is an all aluminum trailer, the double row of DOT tape the VIN and I have the spec sheet on it. The Adam I am not as positive, were/are they making the steel frame aluminum skin trailers as well? Tim

They build them about any way you want... Not sure how to tell the difference looking at a picture other that call the mfg. with the serial number...  http://www.adamtrailers.com/_mgxroot/page_10757.html

I've owned an Adams Ju-lite (BP) and most recently the Excursion (all Aluminum GN) and love(d) them both.  The BP held value, paid $9000 for it in 2008 and traded it in 2012 for $8500.  Same is true here on the east coast for the Excursion holding value.  I've had it since last year and have absolutely no complaints.  I think the Adams you reference below is actually 7'6" as most are.

What size Excursion did you have? Would you be willing to talk with me about it? I'm considering this brand.

I have an Adam that I am trying to sell. Also several friends have Adams and they have never complained about their trailers. Ronnie Lloyd is great to deal with.

Last year I went shopping with a friend who was looking for a new trailer. We viewed several brands and dealerships including an Adam. I found them to be well appointed, especially in their price range. We did not look at LQ models, so I am unprepared to offer any comments on the interior furnishings. At any rate, the LQ installer's reputation and the maintenance it has received, will dictate how well it looks and performs.

We were impressed with the all aluminum structure, the quality of the welds, and the fit and finish. Some of the trailer brands we viewed were more expensive, some were less. She bought the Adam and has been pleased after several trips last Fall. I believe she bought well.

Thank you for your feedback. What Type of Adam are you selling? I'm on the East Coast. Feel free to msg me privately. I've got some specific desires, but doesn't hurt to ask. =)

I got the 16' box with 8' GN overhang and paid $19k then less my trade-in. Mine had a few add-ons, like battery/battery box, water tank, awning, 1' extra in DR and a few other little things like camp door light. Anyway, as someone said in this thread, Ronnie is great at Delwood Trailer sales.
