Hello,
I'm looking at used 4 horse head to head trailers (max 20k), and I was wondering if anyone has some recommendations on the brands to watch for. Here are a few I've run across:

'02 EquiSpirit (looks great)
'07 Cimarron Norstar (can't find reviews or much info on reliability/quality)
Many years of Sundowner from '99-'08 (frame problems?)
Exiss?

I'm having to search for trailers across the country since I can't buy new and it seems the head to heads are pretty rare. I need something for large show horses and mares with foals. Any suggestions, reviews, warnings, etc. would be greatly appreciated 38

Do a favor for yourself, don't look at less when more could be turned to less... Go 6h, just don't load the other 2 if you think your truck or what ever other reason wont let you transport 6. AND, a 6 horse trailer is really 7 horse, 3 in back, 3 in front and one in the middle, but a 4 horse is just that, a 4 horse.

Because of the 4h H2H trailer being shorter in length (some can be found as long as a 6 horse), the center section takes the hit for that extra horse and when needed, turn around space to back the horse up into the front stalls is much shorter.

With that, C&C would be my choice if buying new or used. (my post below)

Both those C&C seem to be good prices to me (for some reason, I would go with the older one)... Being that round about new is $60,000+ for a good 6 horse head to head.

Thanks for the input. But, those larger 6 horse trailers are not in my budget. I'm not worried about my truck being able to pull the extra weight, more worried about my wallet and the fact that I probably wouldn't need the extra space for additional horses very often. I've heard with a 4-horse you can put another small horse in the middle section, is that not true? Thanks again for the help
