If your dog box fits right behind your truck cab, and doesn't extend past where a gooseneck ball would fit, you might be able to use a hitch extender, and still be able to pull a gooseneck. I think you would like pulling a gn LQ versus a bumper pull. They are quite tongue heavy, and the used Huts we have sold off of our lot w/ the bump out feature; makes me question how much weight they would hold.
