Took a friend, his girl friend and she has a 16 year old Japanese Foreign exchange student for a desert ride over the weekend. Rough country, But a real eye opener for the foreign exchange student.

From the title of this I wasn't sure what to expect! Great pictures! What camera are you using? As always, love riding with yoiu, even if it's a virtual experience......

I have a tendency to destroy or loose a camera about once a year. So I usually don't spend a lot of money on them. All it takes is a froggy horse on a rough trail and the little point and shoot camera in my shirt pocket seems to disappear and 30 minutes later when I notice it's missing, I'm trying to remember where we were when I got bounced around in the saddle, or where I had to duck under a low hanging limb or who knows what causes those cameras to migrate out of my pockets.
I really don't enjoy trying to carry a larger camera. Don't want one banging against my chest as we trot or canter, And if it's big enough that it needs to be put in the saddle bags, I won't get it out and take the pictures. So I've always bought something small enough to fit in the shirt pocket.
I spent a little more on this camera and it does take nicer photos than some of the previous cameras that I've owned.
This one is a Canon SX260 HS. And I can see a definite difference in the clarity of the photos from my old Canon SX150. I'm glad I spent almost twice the price and am working hard at not loosing this one.
