Hi, have a friend looking for a 2 horse gooseneck trailer.  One that is for sale locally is an 05 Sundowner, a Valulite or Sunlite.  We are aware of  the problems with the floors and axels in this year of trailer, we live in the midwest where it is wet.  Is it possible to recoat the underneath of the trailer with another material?  If so, what would be involved?  I assume the old material would have to be removed, by sandblasting?  Would the axels need to be dropped and retreated also?

Location: Tenn/Ala.
The axles were never treated with the same materials as the frame. So no need to address them. The frame can be sandblasted, painted with Ospho paint, then painted & undercoated.
