What is the best way to remove small patches of cosmetic rust?  I want to paint my trailer, but need to tend to these rust spots first.

The big box stores sell a product just for that in the paint dept. You apply it with a brush and it will remove rust and stop it from continuing and prime at the same time. I have used one called Wonder and it worked well but there are several different ones that work the same.
