I am seriously considering the purchase of one of Lakota's Hut horse trailers. It would be a 2h for sure. I first would like to know what people's experiences have been/are, and if I were to use the first horse stall for hay storage etc., would it be safe to put one horse then in the back stall for travel? I have a 1500 Chevy Suburban to pull with that has a tow package. Do I need an add'l tow package placed on the trailer as well? Should I get the sway bar installed as well? I don't know if those are standard or not, but would hope to think so. Appreciate anyone's input!

hello - I personally have a Lakota Big Horn with 14' LQ and 9' slide and really like (no, i LOVE) it. For sure it's not one of the extreme top end trailers (which would have cost 90K-120K), but I'm very happy with it and it does exactly what I need - and then some. I think the construction of the trailer itself is darn good. The LQs is very pretty but not an RV Coach quality (mom and Dad drive one of the Country Coach buses...lol). But I love it and I'm proud to have people come see it. I just made two trips (1200 miles each way) and it traveled remarkably well. Pulls great, etc. I also have a friend I trail ride with who has one of the huts. I believe hers is the 2H BP. She LOVES it. Pulls it with an SUV. It's just her when she trail rides and she says its perfect for what she does and is just thrilled. Of course, if you talk to anyone about Lakota the first thing they will tell you is that their Customer Service is amazing. And it is. I bought mine new, had a couple minor issues like anything you buy, and they jumped all over it and got them resolved immediately. They are truly second to none. Hope this helps.
