I have a High Country Plastics half moon water tank. I used to carry it on my hayrack but don't have one on the new trailer (just too much trouble to get stuff up and down for me). On the occasion (1-2 per year) that I actually go somewhere I may need more water than my trailer holds, I can carry this tank in the bed of my truck under the gooseneck. I'm wondering what would be the easiest water pump that I could use to pump the water out and into the tank on the trailer? I've seen several home rigs that people have done - but I'm not terribly techy so I'm apprehensive. Can someone recommend a pump to buy that wouldn't require tons of customization? :)

If you are using this to refill the water tank in your trailer, gravity flow will work just fine. I do this myself. I have a shorter hose that is the perfect length from the water tank in the truck bed to the water fill inlet on my trailer. Very low tech but effective.

Go into any trailer supply and buy a replacement pump like your trailer has for it's internal water supply. attach a plastic pipe that can be inserted into the High Country Plastic tank and a 2nd line that is long enough to reach your water inlet on your trailer. Hook up 12v electric and you are pumping. This could be a couple of aligator clips on the battery terminals of your trailer.
Go into any Home Depot or Lowes or similar store and buy a pump.
They have pumps for waterfalls, ponds etc that might work, Or transfer pumps like this

On my trailers, the LQ's water inlet is below the bed heigth of the truck. I like the KISS concept, and would favour the gravity feed to refill the tank. It's especially appealing when there are three good reasons to enjoy the process.

I have a 65 gallon tank that I use for camping.I installed a Flo jet pump on the top of it. Then made a connection that plugs into the plug in the bed.I can pump into the trailer or use it to fill buckets.
