I recently bought a new [used] truck to pull my two horse bumper pull with. I had the weight distribution set up for my old Suburban, so I checked the height and saw that it needed to go up a hole. (This is a round bar system, no sway control.) Anyway, I was at a show today and my trailer was parked in a level parking lot. As I was walking back to my trailer, I noticed the trailer was actually unlevel -- the front was slightly higher than the rear. (I've only driven the new truck and trailer twice -- at my last show they had me park practically on a side slope, so I didn't notice it before.)
It wasn't until I got home that I realized that I had accidentally put it on the 4th link (which was for my Suburban) instead of the 3rd.
Anyway, now I'm curious as to whether I made a mistake putting the ball up higher. I redid it according the manufacturer's specs, which was to have the ball height 1/2-1" higher than the the coupler height. After looking around on the web, some people say to put the ball l/2"-1" *lower* than the coupler. Which is correct?(Unfortunately I lost the sheet of paper with my wheel well height measurements, but IIRC the rear wheel well was at the same height when the WDH was in place.)

Just took this photo in the feed store parking lot on my way home from the vet... this is with an 1100 lb horse in the trailer. IMO it looks like it should come down a hole on the hitch to make it more level... anyone?? :D
