Gard, what size stapler will go through that flexible wall board? It seems very hard as the little screws I put in it really had a hard time getting started. They sell a large powerful hand held manual gun that takes brad nails and staples. Do you think this would do it or should I get an electric stapler? Thank you Gard.

I like the narrow crown pneumatic stuff. Either .218 crown or .250 crown. The local Menards had a pretty cheap unit for $30.

I bought a heavy duty manual and heavy duty staples and they just bent over when I tried to staple one in,LOL. I am having a really bad time with this and am wondering if I have the right ceiling material. It's the flexible wall board that goes in showers. Guess I'll take this stapler back and get on of those you just mentioned and hopefully I'll get this thing done.

I just realized that stapler takes an air compressor. I don't have one. Has anyone used an electric stapler on tough plastic wallboard?

Tempered Masonite(melamine sheets) or fiberglass sheets are used in showers, you should use a starter hole when you secure with screws.

Is that what the conversion companies use? Because those ceilings look like there are no screws just the trim pieces where they come together.
