Just looking for different ideas on what to use to get up into the sleeping area of our trailer. Right now we are just using a step stool. We would like something a little more premanent or say a little more user friendly with out it taking up a lot of floor space. Built ins or whatever just something that makes it easier to get up but yet looks nice. Thanks.

Some trailers will have a "boot" box like structure that serves both as a sitting area and can contain a water tank or various LQ systems. Some are carpeted, some have cushions and are upholstered. They usually are ~18" high, a common chair seating height, but not high enough by themselves, to provide easy access to the bunk area. I've seen multiple level storage units (cabinets) constructed to act as steps, and even counter tops used as a second step.
Basically it takes the height of the knee wall, divided by three, and installing "steps" on the bottom two, to provide easy access to the bunk. Their tops would be 18" and 36" high from the floor. Moveable ladders or boxes are possible, but don't provide the same security or storage capabilities as thought out appointments.
There are many ways to fabricate built-ins, to suffice for both storage and access to the bunk area. Spend some time in the trailer for sale section, and look at the many interior photos. You may find one to copy that will work for you.

We use plastic milk crates. they lay on their sides with the bottom fastned against the wall of the trailer and the open end facing into the trailer. They double as storage, shoe/boot holders and seats. The top of each row has a heavy piece of plywood to help support our weight to step on them. They have worked great for us.

We have the built in box steps in our LQ. If we have company and the sofa is unfolded for an additional sleeping space one of the steps is covered making it somewhat difficult to exit our bed without stepping on the person residing down below. We solved this by using our two-step plastic mounting block. It fits in the available space and is just the right height for exiting without disturbing our guest. During the day it goes back outside to serve its' original purpose.
