We own an Elite 3H LQ 11' shortwall with black skin and do not feel we made a mistake with our purchase. Horses travel just as comfortably in it as our BP with white skin. Now we do live and travel in the upper midwest where we do not get the summer heat you see in the deep south. Maybe having a black skin absorbing heat could be considered an advantage in the early spring or late fall? There's always more than one way to look at it.

I have not measured actual temperatures to back this up, BUT I drag race two different cars, one black with a black interior. The other a cream color with a blue interior. Sitting in the staging lanes is MUCH MUCH hotter in the black car. I am talking 20 to 30 degrees hotter. This must apply to a horse trailer also.. IMHO
