does anybody know what I need to purchase to have my LQ trailer powered with heat and air, watch TV, lights etc...full use while driving down the interstate that does NOT involve me running my  power cord to my generator and trying to tie it up away from the ground.....what do the RV people use?

It seems that in some states it's legal to be in the trailer like that if the hitch is a fifth wheel?  At least, I think I read that information here?  But, that aside, power often runs to the lq for things like recharging the batteries and running the refrigerator.

As far as running your fridge, you can have it on gas while going down the road.  Your not really going to do a lot of battery charging though, as all you would get is just a trickle towards charging your LQ batteries.  An onboard generator is the only sure fired way to have power to run a/c and whatever else you would need to run other than anything that is 12 volt or gas capable.

I would have to agree w. Retento; is it legal and safe to have anybody riding in an LQ while your on the road with it??

If I remember correctly, one can be inside the trailer if it's connected to the TV with a fifth wheel plate and king pin..... Gooseneck ball is a no no...

How does the generator air cooling work along with the heat exchange on that roof mount A/C while traveling. 60, 70 mph winds change the air flow on these generators if not properly mounted and shrouded...

You have to scroll across to read the rider rules...the missing footnotes indicate that children have to be restrained in a car seat if they are in the trailer in states that allow such things...
