I need help bought 2011 Maverick Warmblood 7'6 trailer- but what I was not told was that it is a stock quarter horse trailer and it was not modified to fit the length of a warmblood. The dealer said, put the big horse in back stall- I explained I have 2 warmbloods- that is why I bought 2 horse warmblood trailer, dealer said why did I not measure horse first, well I had not bought him yet. - next comment was well then clip divider & let the 2 large horses ride side by side with no divider- now they are saying why did I not measure the stall length- my statements is it was advertised as a WARMBLOOD TRAILER not a tall quarter horse trailer- She referred to the trailer as a low end car- if I had wanted a High end car- that is what I should have purchased! REALLY! Anyone have any suggestions- used once to pick up the new horse (a warmblood) & he would not fit in front stall- had to clip divider and let him ride that way- the divider rattled the whole time. I feel taken advantage of & feel I should get my money back as trailer is advertised wrong.Anyone else had this issue- how did you resolve?

Is Maverick the manufacture or the model, there are many manufactures that have a Maverick model.Do you have a brochure or bill of sale that states that it is a warmblood model? If the brochure states a warmblood model, I would call the manufacture. If the dealer put warmblood on the bill of sale, and you could prove that modifications were not made to industry standards for a warmblood trailer, then it is time to contact a lawyer. If neither on a brochure or bill of sale it is stated as warmblood, the only option would be to sell it and buy a trailer from a honest dealer.

Maverick is the manufacturer and my receipt is computer printed and it specifically states 2H HS Warmblood trailer- Lawyer costs more money- I already had to pay a shipper to take the horse back at $475.00 because my brand new trailer was not usable.

You might try calling the manufacturer and talk to them.  Maverick/Royal T has a factory store, perhaps you could trade it in there on a true Warmblood sized trailer.  We don't sell their trailers but every dealing we've had with them has been fair.

Thank you, I just sent a communication to Tim Waldron at Royal Trailers- hopefully he will make this right- You just hate to be treated unfair- $7900 is a ton of cash for me & it is useless- can't sell because I would never cheat & lie to someone & say it is Warmblood size. I have nothing. Sad day

Is it correct that 2011 is the first year that Maverick by Royal T Trailers has manufactured a 2 horse slant load horse trailer.

There is no "one size fits all". ame way size 12 boots vary a lot from one mfg to another. Lighten up on Maverick. While your horse may not fit, it doesn't necessarily make it their fault. Before you climb on here and bash them, you need to work with your dealership to trade you into something you can use. But measure, measure, and measure again- your horses, and a prospective trailer. Just my two cents worth.

Wish I had joined the forums before I bought- have learned that this trailer and others are short and do not fit large horses.

I here your words- except I have tried several horse- hunter/jumper types into the trailer and the stall is very short- I will trade with either dealer I purchased from or with another dealer- you live you learn -

That kind of sucks but we had a similar experience when shopping for our trailer(slant): many were advertised as Warmblood, but they were only 7'6" tall with no additional changes. As we started getting more serious about our purchased we always asked the various dealer to measure the width of the stall on the wall(50" now) and at the belly as well as the diagonal length (140+inches)and after we got the measurements cross checked them with info on the internet or so.

Have you considered a 2 horse straight load, warmblood size? In a slant trailer the width of the trailer is important, in a narrow (6'6")trailer the angle of the stall and the length of the diagonal will be different compared to a 8' wide trailer. I would talk to other owners of warmbloods and see what they use.
