I have found a 2009 gooseneck Hawk. It is a 2 horse 7'6" high. I don't have any experience with Hawk trailers. Does anyone have opinions on the Hawk? It is in excellent condition and they are asking $12,900 CDN.

Thanks guys! I'm going to look at it tomorrow. I've done a bit more research on the web and I'm definitely going to purchase it if it looks as good in person as on the website.

Loved it and bought it! So nice and roomy for my big guy. He'll be riding around in style. Now just have to buy a truck to haul it with. Small detail... lol

Well that shouldn't be to hard of a decision... Any of the three big one ton dually, crew cab four door, diesel, four wheel drive trucks with a perfornance chip should fit the bill.You know you can't even run up to the mail box without a crew cab dually diesel 4X4....!!! Really, what truck do you have in mind to tow your new Hawk..??

Congrats on your great Hawk trailer. I owned one and loved it. Is it a two horse? I'd be looking a 3/4 ton truck at least. I pulled my gooseneck 2H with a 1/2 ton and it wasn't quite big enough. Pulling was okay but was near the truck's limit on bed weight and towing weight. Plus you'll need the bigger, stronger brakes and suspension in a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. Happy hauling.

Just did a little more research and I see it's technically a short box if less than 8ft. Is this a problem for towing a gooseneck? Besides being able to jack knife turn?? I see you can get a slider fifth wheel hitch? I wish I knew what I was talking about here... lol

Me, again.
I towed my hawk with a short box 1500 Silverado. The nose of the hawk is angled back a bit whichh helped. Just be real careful when you start to get the trailer at right angles to the truck especially backing but in sharp turns, too.
I did get a tiny place near the cab where the paint was scraped off and the flanges on the lower front of the trailer under the gooseneck made a crease in my bumper.
All avoidable if I'd known what I was doing which I didn't. I was a total newby.
