I am looking at a new dodge pu.  I want a 350 dually.  Does anyone have an opinion about the 6.7 liter cummins versus the 5.9?  I need to pull 15,000 lbs, more or less.  All opinions welcomed!!

Both engines have a excellent track record, The 03-early 07s are 5.9's and many consider these to be preferable to the newer 6.7s.  The reason being that the 6.7 has added EPA emissions equipment on it and SOME report lower fuel economy. The nod goes to the 6.7 if you want a automatic transmission. All the 6.7s have a 6 speed auto with a integrated exhaust brake. Both very worthwhile features for towing.

Sorry I reread your post,  The only diesel engine in the NEW Dodge Pickup is the 6.7

Well, the truck doesn.t have to be brand new.  Sticker shock may kill me before the deal gets done.  A nice used one may work just fine.

The 04-early 07 Dodge Cummins rigs have been holding resale value quite well, but there are bargans to be found.   I would try to locate one with under 100,000 miles. If the truck has more than 150,000 you should check on service records. There are several areas that need attention at that mileage.
