I have a deep cycle 12 volt battery in my trailer and would like to add a solar charger, perhaps on the roof or just make it portable. Any suggestions of what type, watts, etc?

You'll also need a charge controller. This keeps the solar cells from over charging the battery. The worse that could happen is the solar panel boils the battery dry

The one listed above is pretty big, over 3 ft long and will charge a dead battery.... but they have a smaller one if you just need a trickle charge. I have used these for boats....not on a trailer yet.
