Although I've been in horses for 43 years, I have limited experience in hauling my own horse(s), and would appreciate some educating before buying my next trailer. Previously, I had a CM 2horse slant BP stock trailer (which I hated) that I first pulled with a 4WD older Dodge (gas) truck. I didn't realize that combo pulled as well as it did until my husband replaced the Dodge with a new Nissan 4Door (not 4WD). Once I got to about 55 mph, the trailer felt like is was swaying a little though it didn't look like it in my mirrors. I never felt secure pulling after that and sold the trailer. I will now have my horses at our own property and will need a trailer again. I will still have to pull it with the '06 Nissan. I've heard that the gooseneck is easier to pull vs. a BP - is this a better option for me? Also, would a lighter trailer be better since I don't have 4WD, or will a heavier trailer track behind better? I have a huge warmblood and will be looking at the taller trailers and will go with a straight load this time (fully enclosed, not stock). Any suggestions and information will be appreciated. Any specific trailer brand recommendations are welcome. I'm liking the Hawk PB and an older Sundowner GN right now. Thanks!

Welcome to HTW...!! Is that 2006 four door Nissan a Nissan "Titan" with the automatic transmission and the V8 engine? If so it is rated to tow something like 9400#. The V6 automatic "Frontier" is something like 6300#.

Some info from Nissan.... http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpubs/2006/2006NissanTowingGuide.pdf

Some "Nissanhelp"....  http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/titan/309-true-towing-capacity-titan.html

I think that gooseneck trailer pull better then bumper pull and they are easy to maneuver around I would go for a gooseneck trailer that is what I did
