I currently have a 1998 2 horse 4 Star GN without a living quarters that we use for short hauls and trips to the vet. I've got the opportunity to purchase a 1998 2 horse C&C GN with a smal living quarters. Can anyone give me a comparison in the quality of these two older trailers. We really love the 4 Star but wouldn't mind having a small living quarter trailer to do some overnights at shows. Which is the better built trailer?

They are both very comparable trailers - I think if you like your 4 Star you will be happy with the C&C too. C&C is no longer in business but made a great long lasting trailer and the older 4 Stars were built better than they are now in my opinion.

They were very similar trailers in 1998. The person that had started C&C had just left 4-Star. You'll be happy with it.

Well, we went ahead and bought it. The trailer is in great shape for being 11 years old. I don't think the previous owner knew what he had because we kinda stole it from him. They owned it for 2 years and never used the living quarters. One of the cushions still had the original plastic on it.

I think we like it better than the 4 Star. It has way more options on it and more little things that make it more user friendly.

I'll try to upload some photos! Tell me what you think.

Nice looking trailer!  I really like the window 'toppers'.  How long is the SW?

It's only 5 feet. Long wall appears to be between 8 and 9 feet. The cabinets are on the slant wall. This is our first living quarters trailer and we thought we would start with just a weekender package. It's factory installed and still in great shape. It also has brand new tires that the previous owner just put on. Then he decided to get out of horses. His loss, my gain.

Best of all we only gave $7000 for it. I think I could turn it around and get close to $10,000 for it.
