As of today 4/18/11 the North Texas wild fires has grown to over 64-k acres, 2 churches, around 50 homes, 1 FIRE FIGHTER and added today was 90 head of cattle.
There is over 1200 fire fighters from all around Texas helping out along with 4 -C130 converted cargo planes and more.
According to the Chief on the front line the fire is only 25% contained with high winds and low humidity in the forcast the next fews days things are not looking good..... These guys are now on 20 hour shifts

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all. My husband and son are both firefighters here in ND and my greatest fear is a wildfire of this magnitude. Godspeed.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. It's hard to imagine the kind and amount of destruction that is happening in Texas because of these fires.

After watching the 10pm news the number of home loss is now 170 and 1 town of 400 to 500 was forced to leave today and roughly 75-k acres and still only 25% contained! Pretty much 1 County!
A slight chance of rain help coming Wed. and Thurs......
Something we never really think about till it hits so close to home.
