Does anyone have any experience owning or hauling a Turnbow horse trailer? I am going to look at an aluminum Turnbow 4-horse slant w/dressing room that can be converted into box stalls tommorrow. My initial perception from pics and a bit of research is the trailers seem to be well built and are quite pricey. Wanted to know if anyone had any opinions on quality, durability, etc.

Well, yes, we know several TB trainers that use their trailers and love them.  They have quality products and people, people who make the difference.

Besides the usual, " we know somebody who" story..........we have had one, a 6 horse with dressing room, custom made for us when we hauled TB's commercially. We used the heck out of it, both running interstate and crawling down the back roads to farms.  It was a great experience all the way.  There is one place that actually is owned and ran by people who own and live the horseman life, having and hauling horses themselves.  They understand what is needed from the horseman's point of view, as well as the engineering point of view.......and have been in business a long time.  They dealt with us with complete open and honest integrity, and stood behind their product, above and beyond the normal call of duty.  Carl Turnbow is a real gentleman and horseman....I happen to know that they also support the horse interests in charitable ways as well..and you can use our name...Grady and Nancy Hawthorn recommend them absolutely.

I toured the factory when I was trailer shopping a number of years ago. Just called them out of the blue and said, can I come over. They were very informative and I was pretty impressed with the shop floor. Each work station was explained, I saw very high quality workmanship. Still want to one own some day!

I owned a Turnbow for several years. I was the second owner. The first owner had it custom made, as he had large horses. It was a great trailer, well made and pulled great. When I sold it, I got what I had paid for out of it, and the new owner raved about how it pulled.
