I've never seen this brand before. Anyone have or know about them? I'm guessing they are comparable to a Bison or Lakota?

They are a new named company but are the same essential trailer as the American Spirit from what I understand. Just make sure you look them over really well. I have seen a few up close and they look nice but just check the specific one that you are looking at over closely. Good luck.

The Hoosier trailer I looked at was a 4 horse with an 8' slide. The LQ setup was nice. Their website says they are a steel frame with aluminum upper body. They list their city of manufacture as Syracuse Indiana which is near South Bend, Elkhart, Chicago area. This area had a lot travel trailer manufacturer's that have gone under due to the economy. Their website is extremely lacking in the specification details. They do not list any weights or construction details. I did like the trailer and will be taking a serious look at them when I purchase a new trailer. Not sure how their options affect the price, but most of the options should be standard. Looking forward to hearing other peoples experience.

Hoosier is the same company previously known as American Spirit. Built in the same plant . But, the most important thing is.  They are the same company that has gone Bankrupt twice before and left thier customers high and dry Two other times. No Warranty no parts and no help what so ever. Not much of a trailer, Not much of a Company. And this is me being kind.

I wanted to say what you guys said but as a dealer I have to be nice. I do not handle their trailers so I am not trying to sell them. I know what they did in the past to their customers but they are back trying again so you have to give them some credit for that. Hopefully it works out for them this time as the better any company does the better we are doing as AMERICANS!!! Good luck to them and happy trails for the rest of YA!!!

Treashtrs-Hopeing that everyone does well is a good position to take.  But: Screw me once shame on you, Screw me twice shame on me. seems to be  prudent thought on a $40,000.00 investment.

I don't know anyone that has owned a Hoosier trailer. I do know a few people that bought American Spirits and were stuck without any warranty or support. There are many manufacturers out there that have not screwed thier customers. So why would you consider a company like Hoosier that would not only do it once but twice. It's your money.........

Aside from the bankruptcy issues, the quality of the American Spirit was better than that of Bison and at least equal to that of Lakota. I've experienced both American Spirit and Bison, and I know this is only my opinion. I'm sorry the company went bankrupt and left their clients high and dry.

I would agree that American Spirit was a very good trailer ,maybe the best steel frame aluminum skin trailer.  I have seen a few Hoosiers. Even a blind man could see the are not the same trailer. They have lost the Look and the Quality. When they decided to try again they went with a  cheaper is better trailer. All that aside they have no problem screwing the people that commited to them.
