I am having a Platinum-Outlaw trailer built. This is my first LQ trailer. Is there any insurance company that specializes in LQ trailers? We are using the trailer as a business rig so our truck insurance company cant do the trailer.

We offer insurance through Thum Insurance, geared towards LQ and horse trailers. Shoot me an email and I will be happy to do the quote, or you can do it on our site www.buyshadow.com

all our vehicles are insured by USAA. the trailers automatically are insured for libility by being pulled by the truck, plus we have a seperate policy on the LQ trailer, based on it's original cost and replacement value.

USAA does NOT provide commercial insurance except through third parties...

$10 a month?? or $120 a year for what value of trailer? Our Plarinum/Outlaw GN is about $60.000 and the best quote I have so far is just under $600 a year. This does include underwriting as a business trailer.

I would think it would make a big difference in price from a farm policy to a business policy.
Talking only comp/collision-our 65k trailer runs around $650 a year with a $2500 deductable. I plan on shopping this spring when my current policies come up. It is thru American Family Insurance. It is insured as a camper if that helps.
Acutally had a claim this last year as the door to the storage shed it is stored in blew down on top of the trailer.

Put it under your business policy. I would assume you would also have to have your truck under that policy.
