Well i live in alaska my names skip and i have traded my rifle for my first horse trailer, its for 2 horses and doesnt have a ramp., dont know if it should or not.. has some sheetmetal rust im gonan fix, title said it was a 68 or 69. it does have brakes on the front axle, i cut the 6 way small plug off and put on a 7 way to get it home.have not tore into the bearings and brakes yet to see if they are any good but it did good on the bearing for the 60 mile trip home anyhow.Nice to meet yall

Welcome to HTW..!! You're a brave one you are!! Traded your rifle for a horse trailer!! Looks like you got a little project to keep you busy for a while.... Here's a site or three that carries a few parts you may need down the road.

well i sure am glad to have one, now i can get some goats and horses and bring them home this spring to eat the weeds and saplings down, and to have some fun with my daughter with her first horse.

Well, good for you! That looks so much like the first trailer I had, too. I painted it and it did its job for several years, and I sold it for what I purchased it for, so it did well. Never had a problem with a horse with it (cept once when wasps built a nest in there!), just took my time and taught em to "send" into the trailer. Good luck with your project!

Mine had no ramp........have had 2 horse TB trailer with ramp, a four horse with ramps, a 6 horse with ramps, and now have a 2 horse bumper pull step up, and a GN stock trailer, and the 3 horse LQ step up. Honestly, our horses have loaded fine either way.......we have had customers in the race horse industry that really wanted their horses loaded with ramp, (hence the TB 2horse and the 6 horse), but have also hauled a bunch of em in a step up. If your horse is calm, confident, and trained..........either one is fine. When I was growing up we hauled em in the back of the pickup with stock racks (now you know I am on the downhill side of 50!)!!!!

wow in the pickup musta been crazy!
the title on this one says CHMP so im thinking its a Champ or champion? are those makes of 2 horse trailers??? i dont know why the titles are abbreviated.. is there a place to look on the trailers where there is a data plate like a car?

I think the first thing im gonan haul home are some pigmy goats, im hoping they can eat the overgrown pasture down of saplings that are 6 feet tall for me.
