I put my cowboy shower at the back of the trailer, not up by the LQ. We stand on an old plastic pepsi crate turned upside down. The back couple of feet of the trailer gets wet, and the water runs out the back door. It is far less messy than other cowboy showers I have had. I string a shower curtain from the rear tack to the first bus window. I put tin foil over the window on the back door for privacy. I have three children, and having a cowboy shower leaves me much more space in the lq for sleeping. I have engineered many different heaters and tanks over the years if you are interested.
Works great and I got inventive with plastic hose and hose clamps and just route the water out of the trailer via the side drain attached to a water hose when we're finished. I got ours on sale at Harbor Freight for around 5 dollars.

Thank you very much. That is a real neat idea, I will check into this. We are looking for something portable that we can put in the extra stall and remove when we need it and this would work.

I found a portable shower that is battery operated for $29 at Academy Sports and Outdoors. It is made by Magellan. No heater, but you can warm water up on the stove if you need it. In the summer, it isn't an issue. The shower is collapsible, and runs on 4 D cell batteries.

For hot water, we use a tankless portable water heater called EZ tankless. Bought it on ebay for around 100 bucks. You have to have a source of water pressure via a pump, water hose, etc. It uses 2 D batteries to ignite and propane for fuel.
Even though we are putting a bathroom in our camper this year, I am still going to use the EZ tankless water heater. It's hard to beat the temperature that it puts out. You waste virtually no water.
