I am currently in NE Ohio planning a move back to SW MI. My husband and I purchased a good sized LQ trailer in February of this year - however, due to my husband getting out of horses, I no longer need anything that big. Additionally, due to relocation expenses, I would like a lower payment. Are there any dealers that will allow you to trade down vs. up?

If it makes financial sense and they can make a profit doing so I would think any dealer would trade. If yours isn't something popular and easy to sell be prepared to take a big hit.

What do you have and what are you looking to trade in on??? If I can help I will let you know in the mean time just a little info for the processing. Thanks for your time and good luck with whatever you decide.

It is a 2009 Blue Ribbon all aluminum 3 horse; 8 foot wide, 7'6" tall (that was for a 17 hand TB - we don't need one that wide or tall for my 14.3 hand mares!). 28 foot floor length (at least - may be longer) 14 foot short wall. Midtack/mud room. Slide out which includes the bathroom vanity for a ton of floor space. High end LQ. I'm thinking a 2 horse with a smaller short wall - something easier for me to navigate by myself.

Yes, that's identical to my trailer. Thanks for at least being honest about it. This was not in the plans...obviously or we wouldn't have bought it in the first place. We may be stuck holding onto it for a few years until it has some value on the market.

Gary at Robbs Trailers in Romeo Michigan Traded down for me and I thought he was very fair. You might want to give him a call. I don't have his number anymore, all you have to do is Just press dealers above, go to Michigan. He is listed there.

I just sold a trailer on consignment; the only problem can be that it takes a while to sell, mine went in three months, so you would have to keep that in mind if you are making payments on it (not even sure you can consign a trailer that has a lien on it, though.)
