I was shopping this weekend & the dealer told me that I can't pull a Trailswest GN with my Ford Superduty because the truck is to tall. I want to buy a 2005 Trailswest 3 horse gooseneck and pull it with my 2002 Ford F350 4X4 Crewcab truck. The truck has the long bed and a bed mounted tool box in it. I have pulled a 1999 Sooner GN with the truck up to this point. I did not have the truck with me this weekend to see if it would fit under the Trailswest, so I was wondering if anyone else is hauling with this truck/trailer combo.

Thanks for any input you can offer.
Dealer is full of it! These trailer have more clearance that most trailers on the market. I would say find another trailer/dealer.
Have you pulled any other type of gooseneck trailer with this truck? flatbeds.... If so these trailers are set up the same way as regular old flatbed gooseneck trailers are.

Thank you for your response. Yes my husband pulls a large goose neck flat bed trailer with this truck all the time. I couldn't see any reason the Trailswest wouldn't work, I think they are just trying to push me into another trailer that I'm really not that interested in.

Was he referring to just that Trailswest trailer? It might be built with a "dropped" nose---ie-nose is lower to increase the height in the bunk area of nose. Our Cimmarron is 6" lower and 3" higher than standard trailers and can only be pulled with a flatbed.
Other than that, I have seen and rode in a lot of Trailwest trailers pulled with a Ford...no problem.

Thanks all of you who have responded. To answer the last question, the dealer was referring to multiple Trailswest trailers, but I will watch out for that dropped nose you were talking about.

That brand does not offer dropped nose trailer at all..... Sound like the dealer is trying to push a trailer they can make more money on. Just saying with the bad economy and all.
