Hi,we own a 2007 Circle J trailer and wanted to take it in for some minor fixes and services (nothing as been done mechanically to it since we go it): what should I have them check/work on?-Axles?-Brakes?thanks

I would sure have them pack bearings and check the brakes and your breakaway kit. Probably check the floor and just a general safety check. I was told by a dealer this year that we should pack the bearings twice a year. We have been doing it annually and not running the trailers that hard. If a person was rodeoing or on the road 40 or 50k a year then it may be necessary.

Besides pack bearings and check/adjust brakes and emergency brake I'd add lubing or oiling as recommended by owner's manual or mfg: coupler; axle, etc. General overall inspection especially floor from underside and tires would be good, too. Ask at the place you go for service to recommend needed service.

I would do a general inspection, ie; check all lights, check plug for corrosion, look for cracked welds, loose bolts, etc. Also, I would inspect the bearings and repack them, as well as inspect and adjust brakes.
BTW - Dexter recommends 1 year or 12,000 miles for repack on bearings.

Besides all the other things mentioned...give the ROOF, at the minimum, a cursory examination Finally, remember that whoever checks out your trailer is similar to a barber that you just asked if you needed a hair cut...
