Here in KY we have had the hottest summer on record. 107 straight days over 80* with at least eighty of those days being over 90*.
A friend of ours was featured on last night's news because his corn is actually popping in the field! No it's not popcorn, it's shell corn and the kernels are bursting on the stalk because of the extreme heat.

Hot an Humid here on the banks of Old Man River too. Very hot summers...I dont know if its the heat or if I am just getting old and out of shape, but the few cool nights we have had the past week sure were NICE. Looking forward to Fall and being able to enjoy standing around a camp fire again.
