Based on the many negative comments you've made about your Exiss "Event", you would also probably be displeased with an Exiss "Sport" model.

FYI. Most new trailer purchasers can order an insulated and lined ceiling area, from the respective manufacturers that routinely sell single skin models. Any trailer not offered with this as an OEM or purchased used, can have an after market inner lining installed at many competent dealers. This will eliminate the exploding roof syndrome that you experienced on your "Event", which Exiss had repaired and lined. Unfortunately this adds to the total cost of a trailer, which as you have vehemently stated, is already too expensive .

I was at a show this weekend and saw a Sport model and it wasn't that bad. I noticed a few things looked lighter than a Event but overall it was nice trailer. if a Sport model was going to fit the budget I'd take a closer look at them..

I asked the differences between the two not an opinion of a Beavis.I did not have an exploding roof, sir. I had a horse rear and put its head through the roof which is only .40 thick. Just maybe my telling people about such or YOU telling them such as you have, might prevent a tragic accident. I was fortunate that my mare did not cut the top of her head or ears off. It is well known the Exiss is NOT a top of the line trailer and my question was what is the difference between the Event and Sport. Not just a roof lining which apparently neither have. With what the MSRP is on these trailers(Exiss) a styrofoam/fiberboard head liner in the horse area is a minor expense.I bet less than $50 bucks of material.By the way,do YOU work for Exiss?

I looked at both and noticed the difference in construction. I would only buy an Event, especially if you are going to travel in ruff terrain. The Exiss Events LQ with the limited package has the double roof over the horse area and has insulation. From what I remember they come with rear loading lights, different hub caps (who cares), padded dividers, and the double insulated roof in the horse area. It was offered in the 8' Lq also. Wish I would of got that package many times over. This place gets too dramatic for me some times.

Oh yeah, the main question. The aluminum frame is different.

Spooler.Thank you for a civil answer with useful information.I also got a PDF file from Jeff Foreman who is with Trailers of the East Coast. He was very knowledgable which is more then I can say about some folks in the trailer business. They are the only Exiss dealer in the Georgia area.Exiss says they are working on a new dealer for this area.

360 views on this thread as of this morning.Lots of publicity and curiosity about 'exploding roofs'. Actually the roof tore like a coke can.I'd just about forgot about that event.Hope Guard rehashing it brings some change to how trailers are built and some good will come from this.Thank you Guard for reminding consumers of some of the dangers in non tested/rated mass produced products.Thats how change is brought about.

Since so many views and hopefully more to come I'd like to ask a favor if possible. There is a site to be a bone marrow donor.www.marrow.org.  or Be The Match web site.I have Acute Leukemia and came out of remission a while back.Others like myself need bone marrow donors to try to beat certain marrow and blood cancers. All it takes is going to the Be A Match site and doing a small questionnaire. Then a CHEEK swab that will be sent to you.It might just save a life!

Thank you for the links. I was unaware of all of the possibilities for donation and they seem certainly worthy of serious consideration. On an aside, bless you and yours. Regardless of what now seem like silly roof questions- in a time like this our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. please keep us updated.

Thanks, kindly. The great thing about donating marrow is that you can save a life without having to lose your own! And no, they don't have to drill into your bones to harvest marrow LOL! It's done through your bloodstream. Pay it forward, folks!
