I recently traded my 2004 Miniature Horse trailer for an old refurbished '73 Miley 2 Horse Trailer.  I tried to register it, but they require verification of the empty weight.  I can take it to a scale to have it weighed, however, it is 80 miles away and have no way to get it there as I cannot haul it until reg'd, and they do not offer any type of trip permit that would allow me to do so. 

I searched and found Miley Trailers online, however, I was told they had gone out of business in 2006, and the new place bought out the name, but did not receive any specs on trailers produced in past years.

The empty weight does not show on the trailer manufacturing plate, and I need to know how I can find this information short of having to pay to have it towed to a scale.  The information needs to be verified through a dealer or some place that has access to this type of information, and would need to fax it. 

Is there any place that I can contact

...maybe some sort of information database that dealers or individuals can gain access to that would give this information?
