Canada is a bilingual country, speaking French and English. Trailers sold and registered there, will have the data plates and registration forms marked in both languages.
GVWR is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, and PNBV is the French equivalent.
GAWR is the Gross Axle Weight Rating, and PNBE is the French equivalent.
To convert pounds of weight to kilograms, divide by 2.2
On a P metric tire, 85 is the profile ratio between the sidewall height and the thread width. It is a 16" tire of an "E" range rating
If the data plate says 10/06, it was constructed on that date, not when it was sold. Many dealers will sell a left over trailer as being NEW, when it is in fact, one or more years old. This one could be a left over, first sold in 07. The title should reflect the manufacturing date, not the first sale.

Thank you. That helps. It helps to know the trailer came out of Canada - but I also don't understand that. Does it mean a dealer in Canada was the original purchaser and then the dealer down where I live purchased it to sell? How can it still be considered new then? I'll be posting another thread on value once I look around this site a bit more.

The plate doesn't necessarily mean the trailer was sold in Canada. It means that it would meet the Canadian titling requirements, if it were sold in Canada.

Gard - Most manufacturers will change the model year in the late summer or early fall of the previous year. In other words, a trailer built in October of 2006 will be titled as a 2007 model. Trucks and cars get the same treatment. In today's economy (boy do I hate that term) it is not unusual for a dealer to have a leftover 2007, 2008, or 2009 model - new, meaning never used or titled.
