I am going to camp at the end of the month and will be hauling my horse from Georgia to Tennessee. Do I need any documentation other than a coggins for crossing into Tennessee with my horse?

0080-2-1-.06. HORSES AND OTHER EQUIDAE. (1) HEALTH CERTIFICATE - Horses, mules or other equidae transported into or through the State of Tennessee shall be accompanied by an official Health Certificate.

Every state will have different laws. To enter into Utah we need to carry with us some type of ownership ( brand inspections, Registration papers) a current coggins and a health certificate.
I would suggest that proof of ownership and health certificate would be minimum in most states.

You can get an Equine Event Permit from the Georgia Dept of Agriculture and it covers several states. It is free, you just have to send in your current Coggins papers and a current health certificate from a vet and they will send all back in just a few days. Most vets charge a fee for the health certificate. The Equine Event permit is good for six months. I keep one always in a folder with my current coggins papers.
