we have an all electric trailer - the water heater has begun to leak - there is a valve on the side of the water heater  (it's like s small round tank water heater) that has a knob of some sort on it and a spout off of it. I don't get a leak until the water is hot, then I get water out of this. I am assuming this is a pressure release valve of some sort. Question is, are we going to be better off to try to replace this part (if possible) or go out and but a new water heater?

If we buy new, can anyone tell me if they have used the small point of use electric water heaters in a LQ and is that enough hot water to take quick showers and do dishes? I found a place online that has the 2.5 gallon size for about $160 -

Thanks!

The T&P valve unscrews and is easily replaceable. Here's how:
